Sisterhood | Intiis a body of work dedicated to my unusual adolescent 17-year-old sister; her room, quiete spaces, and her chosen comfortable isolation. Inti’s presence in front of my camera has always been quiet unveiling and intimate. She has allowed me to witness her in states of mind I believe she attempts to keep hidden and to herself.
I attempt to capture untold truths and emotional lapses she spills between frames. I witness the process in which she carries herself and the alienation she looses herself in feeling. This I believe comes from a place of insecurities and maybe this lack of identity to a point where the self seems unreal.
To reveal and connect with her engulfed state, photographs are my way of reaching out to her.
