Home Bodies
Home Bodies is the coming together of multiple families in their own home as I examine and observe moods and interactions these members have with one another in the space they inhabit the most. I focus on watching the body language and facial expressions of my subjects also known as “The Face”. The name for whatever reveals to us someone’s “naked and disarmed mortality”. This can be anything as small as a gesture, a physical feature, a stutter, a dropping of the shoulders, or the inability to hold eye contact.
What aspect of another’s being stirs a profound emotion in you? When you look closely they aren’t so different from our own families. This piece is supposed to provoke a relation or an interaction between the subjects in the photos and the viewer; where you can reflect your own memories and experiences onto each scene
